Plate heat-exchanger limescale protection (dairy)

Object: Plate heat exchanger.
Installed: WS-100 (WS-115) (DN100) x 1 pc.
Source of water: Municipal water supply.
Chemicals: No.
Period: 90 days.
Description: Before, after 6 months of operation, heat-exchanger’s plates ware covered with lime-scale. Staff should production, open heat-exchanger and clean the plates with chemicals.
Purpose: Prevention of scale formation on heat exchanger plates. Reduce of non-productive time. Reduce chemicals consumption.
Result: After 90 days of operation, the heat-exchanger plates are clean, like new. No lime-scale traces. (See the picture, right-down corner). There is no need to open the heat-exchanger for cleaning.
